Desert Classic Tour (English)

Saturday was my first experience with 14.1. Desert Classic Tour in Arizona had the tournament held at Pockets in Tucson Az. I couldn't turn down a tourney so close to home even if I didn't know anything about Straight Pool.
I got there early enough for a briefing on how to play the game and practice with Peter Lhotka one of the top player.
My first match was with Lenny, the owner of Pockets. I was ahead at the beginning until I hit the 40s count, Lenny woke up and just run out. I was sitting on 55 when he hit 100. I felt really good about my game.
I was ready to kill my next opponent, that was Josh.
I just wanted that game so bad, at least get one game under my belt.
Josh is a young new comer in pool, playing everyday with a good grasp of the game. The progress of his game really show.
I'm sure we had the longest game of the tour. I took the lead and didn't want to give it up at all. Josh tried different approach to the table, but was getting frustrated. We all know that feeling. My game on itself was not as good as the one before but I was making more balls. I was taking more chances, Josh would take advantage of it and will creep on me. I cleaned my head and got in gear to the final score; 78 - 100
My next opponent was not going to give me any balls. Leil Gay had just lost against Jimmy Mendoza and his body language was saying it all. Leil Gay high run is 350 so imagine me, little one without experience, he just crushed me. I was just watching him cleaning ball after ball, rack after rack.I learned a lot with Leil also, he would take time to explain some tips during the game. 26 -100.
My foot is holding good at the beginning of the tournament but will swollen during the day, my shoe would get to small for my foot. I can't wait the day I can focus only on the game and not of my foot pain.

Thank you for your input Leil Gay and Peter Lhotka and all of you supporting me.
