Mon prochain adversaire, Jim, n'a eu aucune difficulte a gagner contre moi.

Pockets 10 ball tournament (English)

10 ball tournament are getting more popular all over the country. So, I decided to get a taste of it and enter in the Pockets 10 ball tournament on Saturday 09 May. It was starting at noon, got there 30 minutes before to warm up. Lenny Johnson, owner of the pool hall, was in charge of the tourney. My first match was with Hank, we are both the same caliber. I started very strong, got up 3 - 0. Next to us, we had 3 cushion players not participating in the tourney, asking me questions like nothing was going on, very casually. I got upset with that person, telling him we were playing in tournament. What an error of my part, I lost focus and went down hill from there. Hank took advantage of my mistake and got his stroke back to win 4 - 3. I couldn't believe how much my brain got detoured by one person. I was so upset of myself, I couldn't get back on track the rest of the tournament and lost right away with my next opponent Jim. He was awesome, just cleaned up the table effortless.
I need to work on my brain focus, find the ZONE that I use to know. It happened the same thing when I played my first match on the DCT straight pool tournament when my opponent was behind and started to talk to me. So I know it is one of my weakness for now, but not for long. I will start drilling my brain and the ZONE I will find again.
I want to thanks all the staff of Pockets Pool & Pub for the great job. Check out their website http://www.pocketstucson.com/ for all the tournaments if you ever in Tucson.

BTW ; my foot is getting better, playing with open sandals so not to much pressure when it swollen.
